Formula
Sum of the single highest-scoring item in each of 3 categories (ECG, clinical history, family history) plus 0.5 if a pathogenic mutation is identified. <2 = non-diagnostic, 2-3 = possible, ≥3.5 = probable/definite.
Pearls and pitfalls
- ECG findings must be interpreted in the absence of confounders (fever, ischemia, electrolyte disturbance, etc.) that can mimic a type 1 pattern.
