When to use
- Informing pre-arrest discussions about the likely benefit of attempted CPR, especially in patients with multiple comorbidities.
Formula
Sum of 13 weighted pre-arrest variables (range -15 to +11 per item); being neurologically intact at baseline subtracts 15 points. Total score bands: >=24 very low, 14-23 low, -5 to 13 average, <=-6 above-average probability of neurologically intact survival to discharge.
