When to use

Formula
FNI = e^xb / (1+e^xb), where xb = -10.33 + 2.54*ln(AST U/L) + 3.86*ln(HbA1c %) - 1.66*ln(HDL mg/dL).
Pearls and pitfalls
- Cut-off <0.10 rules out and >=0.33 rules in fibrotic NASH; values in between are indeterminate.
