Duval/CIBMTR score for AML survival

Predicts overall survival after allogeneic HSCT for relapsed/refractory AML.

Duval/CIBMTR score for AML survival
First complete remission <6 months (or primary induction failure)
Circulating blasts at transplant
Donor other than HLA-identical sibling
Karnofsky/Lansky performance status <90
Poor-risk cytogenetics
Result0 points

Predicted 3-year overall survival about 42 % after allogeneic HSCT with active disease.

3-year overall survival
42 %

When to use

  • Counselling and decision-making on allogeneic transplant for AML that is in relapse or refractory (active disease).

Formula

One point each: first CR <6 months (or primary induction failure); circulating blasts; donor other than HLA-identical sibling; Karnofsky/Lansky <90; poor-risk cytogenetics. Range 0-5; 3-year OS approximately 42/28/15/6 % for scores 0/1/2/>=3.
