Donor Lymphocyte Infusion (DLI) Volume

Estimates the infusion volume needed to deliver a target CD3+ dose.

×10⁶ cells/mL
Complete the fields above to see the result.

When to use

  • Preparing a dose of donor lymphocyte infusion for relapse or mixed chimerism after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplant.

Formula

Volume (mL) = (target CD3+ dose [×10⁶ cells/kg] × recipient weight [kg]) / product CD3+ concentration [×10⁶ cells/mL].

Pearls and pitfalls

  • Doses are typically escalated across sequential infusions (e.g., 1×10⁶ → 1×10⁷ → up to 5×10⁷ CD3+ cells/kg) to balance graft-versus-leukemia effect against graft-versus-host disease.
  • Starting doses are generally lower for HLA-mismatched or unrelated donors than for matched siblings.
