Result0.0 points
Low risk of severe CP-AKI; approximate incidence ~1 %.
- Risk category
- Low
- Approx. severe CP-AKI incidence
- ~1 %
When to use
- Estimating risk of severe AKI before the first intravenous cisplatin dose to guide monitoring and hydration.
Formula
Sum points for age, hypertension, diabetes, smoking, cisplatin dose and laboratory values (haemoglobin, WBC, albumin, magnesium). Range 0–22.5; categories low 0–5.5, moderate 6–9.5, high 10–15.5, very high ≥ 16.
Pearls and pitfalls
- Severe CP-AKI here is a ≥ 2-fold creatinine rise or dialysis within 14 days.
- Higher CP-AKI severity is strongly associated with reduced 90-day survival.
