When to use
- Diagnosing and grading ARDS in the mechanically ventilated hypoxaemic patient.
Formula
All four required: onset ≤1 week, bilateral opacities, not fully cardiac/overload, PEEP ≥5. Grade by PaO2/FiO2: mild 200–300, moderate 100–200, severe ≤100 mmHg.
