When to use

Formula

ALC (cells/uL) = WBC (x10^3/uL) x lymphocyte % x 10.

Pearls and pitfalls

  • Lymphopenia (<1000-1500/uL) is a marker of illness severity in sepsis, COVID-19 and immunosuppression.
